To Tweet, or not to Tweet. That is the question.

Twitter intrigues me.  I'm still not sure I "get" it, though.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's pretty much a run of status updates?  I think this would be perfect for me.  I update my FB status waaaay too much.

My brother is a twit is on Twitter, but he's too cool and made it so you have to follow him to see what he's doing.  Which leads me to my next thought about the subject.  If I did sign up for Twitter, it would be mainly just to follow people.  However, I would feel the need to Tweet, myself.  And if I'm tweeting, I would *need* followers.  Otherwise, I'm just that creepy bird in the corner talking to herself.

While I do the blog for me, I'm honored to have seven followers, but let's face it.  Two of the followers are dogs, and I don't know if dogs tweet.  Not to mention, if I were on Twitter, most of my tweets would probably be things like, "Hey you!  Reader from Chattanooga, TN that just hopped on the blog from Facebook.   Who are you?!?!  I see you reading and assume since you got her via Facebook, we are actually friends, but I can't figure out who you are and it's bugging me."  Not exactly "following" material.

Hmmm.  What to do, what to do.  And I am totally serious about the reader in Chattanooga.  You're killing me here.  Who are you?!

I know I am one of your "dog" followers...but I think your Chattanooga, TN follower might be Mary DeCamp...isn't that where she lives?

Haha--Laura solved the mystery--I guess it's me that your blog is identifying at that location. Sorry it's not someone more exciting. I didn't realize today's blogs were equipped with gps tracking. I'm not on twitter, though, so I will not be one of your followers should you choose to share your brilliance with that corner of the www. On another note, if you ever find yourself passing through my part of the world, you should stop by--it's pretty adorable.

Ha, ha! Thank you Laura!! I had been checking out all of my friends, but sneaky Mary has her "network" as Atl :-) P told me that apparently people with work computers sometimes have lost ip addresses, so if their computer was logged onto a network in Kansas, then shipped to the employee in Maine, the computer will still think it's in Kansas. But good to know where you are! We'll wave on our way to Disney :-)

I might replace the word "sneaky" with "lazy". Back in the day, when I picked "Atlanta" as my network, you could only choose from major cities, so I just picked the major city closest to me. And I've just never gotten around to updating it. At this point, I'm just being stubborn about it. But I'm glad to see I was able to create some intrigue with little effort. Have a great time at Disney--I'm very jealous!

Thanks for the shout-out sis. Twitter is the supreme social networking site. Low maintenance and less time consuming. Join up, and I might even let you follow me.

The husband and I are both on twitter, although, I guarantee that it's been at least two weeks since I've changed a status. I forget about it until I read about it in some random blog. :)
